Bag of spuds and other items stolen from house in Kilkenny

A homeowner in Clogh in County Kilkenny returned to their home on Sunday (November 12) to discover a burglary had taken place at their property.

The incident may have happened sometime between 9am on Wednesday (Nov 8) and 6.30pm on Sunday (Nov 12).

The victim returned home to discover the glass in a back bedroom window had been smashed to gain entry to the house.

The house was ransacked and amongst the items stolen were: old Irish coins (nominal value), four sensor lights and a bag of Rooster potatoes.

Gardaí in Castlecomer are investigating this particular incident and are appealing to anybody who may have seen anything of a suspicious nature in Clogh village over the period to contact them on 056 444122.
