Man accused of having cocaine for sale or supply in Kilkenny

A man accused of having approximately €2,000 worth of cocaine in his possession for sale or supply to others had his case adjourned for DPP’s directions.

Alexej Zavadskis, 25 Rosehill Crescent, Kilkenny is accused of the offences which is alleged to have taken place on May 5, 2024 at John’s Green, Kilkenny. The alleged offences are contrary to sections 3 and 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The defendant is also accused of having drugs in his possession for personal use at High Street, Kilkenny on April 27, 2024 contrary to section 3 of the Act.

Judge Geraldine Carthy adjourned the matters before the court and remanded the accused on continuing bail to appear before Kilkenny District Court on December 10 for DPP’s directions.
