Extensive searches to take place in Kilkenny for missing Dean Roche

Gardaí renew appeal for information on Dean Roche, missing from Kilkenny for eight years

Gardaí and the Civil Defence will carry out a number of searches this week as part of a new review into the disappearance of Kilkenny man, Dean Roche.

A drone is being used to survey and map out the area close to where Dean was last seen in Ballyfoyle on the night of March 22, 2015.

Search team experts have also been deployed to help find the missing 31-year-old.

A senior garda has been appointed to lead the review and a meeting has taken place between senior gardaí and members of the Roche family.

Dean Roche from Hebron Park went missing on March 22, 20215 when he went to the Ballyfoyle area to buy a car. A short time after purchasing the car it was found crashed down the road. Dean vanished that night and has not been seen since.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who has information on what happened to Dean Roche to contact them at Kilkenny Garda Station on(056) 777 5000.
