Cash and jewellery stolen in burglaries in rural Kilkenny

A number of properties were targeted by opportunistic criminals over the weekend who broke into a number of houses and stole cash and jewellery.

On Saturday (September 21) a house in Hugginstown was broken into between 8pm and 9pm when a rear window was forced open and jewellery was stolen. 

On the same date another house in the Hugginstown area was also broken into between 7pm and 9pm and entry was gained through a rear window.

A third property was also broken into in the Hugginstown area on September 21 between 7pm and 11pm. A rear door was forced open and cash and jewellery were stolen.

Anyone with information or who saw any suspicious vehicle in the area is asked to contact Kilkenny gardaí on (056) 777 5000.
