LATEST: Man arrested and charged following County Kilkenny fire

Kilkenny gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at a commercial premises on Barrack Street in Castlecomer at approximately 10pm on Friday, February 21.

No injuries were reported.

A male in his 30s was later arrested and has since been charged in connection with this investigation. He appeared before Kilkenny District Court on Sunday, February 23 at a 10.30am sitting.

"As this matter is now before the courts, An Garda Síochána is not in a position to provide further comment at this time," a garda spokesperson told Kilkenny Live.
