BREAKING: Man (40s) arrested following huge drugs seizure on Kilkenny border

The search of a premises in New Ross was carried out by members attached to Wexford Crime Unit on Friday

BREAKING: Man arrested after major drugs seizure on Kilkenny border

As part of Operation Tara, gardaí have seized approximately €1.9 million of controlled drugs in New Ross, County Wexford.
 
The search of a premises was carried out by members attached to Wexford Crime Unit on Friday.

The drugs seized will be sent for further analysis.
 
A man aged in his 40s was arrested in relation to this seizure.

He is currently detained under pursuant Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a garda station in County Wexford.

Investigations are ongoing.
