Gardaí in Kilkenny are advising the public to 'be careful out there' as they continue to find drivers committing a wide range of offences.

On Monday, the local roads policing unit detected one disqualified driver, a driver with bald tyres, and multiple speeding offences in built-up areas.

Meanwhile, gardaí are also continuing to provide high visibility policing and engagement at rail and bus stations as part of Operation Scáthlán.

On Saturday evening, Kilkenny gardaí carried out high visibility patrols at MacDonagh Railway Station in Kilkenny and also in Thomastown Train Station.

They also travelled on the trains to ensure public safety and reduce anti-social behaviour along with supporting Irish Rail personnel.
