A house was ransacked during a burglary in Callan on Friday and gardai are appealing to the public for assistance.
The break in took place at a property at Greak Oak in Callan. The rear window was forced open and the house was ransacked. A small quantity of coins were taken. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 3 and 6pm is asked to contact Callan gardai.
Meanwhile gardai are also investigating a burglary at a house at Main Street in Johnstown on Friday. The break in took place between 5.30am and 7.15pm. Entry was gained through smashing a rear patio window and the house was gone through and a watch stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact gardai in Urlingford.
