Gardaí 'taken aback' by bizarre antics of driver stopped in Kilkenny

Kilkenny gardaí issued a fixed charge notice after an encounter with a local motorist
A motorist in Kilkenny left a Roads Policing Unit (RPU) member stunned after being spotted using a 14-inch laptop while driving.
The unusual incident occurred recently when a member of the Kilkenny RPU noticed a driver who appeared to be repeatedly looking away from the road and towards a device.
After stopping the vehicle, the garda was ‘taken aback’ when they discovered a laptop sitting in a cradle and positioned facing the driver.
The laptop was switched on, with an open document or webpage visible on the screen.
A fixed charge notice was immediately issued to the motorist.
