Sarah (Sadie) Purcell (née Shiel)
The death has occurred of Sarah (Sadie) Purcell (née Shiel), Ballinalacken, Attanagh, Laois, R32 YE97 / Attanagh, Kilkenny. She died peacefully in the Loving care of the staff of The Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John, sons John Philip and Donal, her daughters Catherine and Marie. Deeply regretted by her sons Kevin, John Joe and Philip, her daughters Bridie, Lena and Sarah, her sons-in-law and her daughters-in-law. Sadly missed by her brother Dan (Canada), her sisters-in-law Nancy, Peggy and Joan, her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Removal from her residence on Monday 12th to St. Patrick's Church Ballyragget for 1pm Requiem Mass followed by burial in Ballyouskill Cemetry. House private Monday please. Mass may be viewed on Https://www.youtube.com/c/allisonritchiechurchsinger
William (Liam) Phelan
The death has occurred of William (Liam) Phelan (retired 30th Battalion James Stephens Barracks Kilkenny), Ayrfield Green and formerly of The Butts Green, Kilkenny City passed away peacefully on 9th June 2023 in the wonderful care of the staff in University Hospital Waterford with his devoted and caring family by his side. Predeceased by his parents Ellen and Kieran. Liam will be deeply missed by his partner Bernie, daughters Sharon, Catriona, Terri and son David, grandchildren Sarah, Mark, Brandon, Johanna and Brianna, father-in-law Patrick, daughter-in-law Tricia, son-in-law Frank, brothers John, Tommy, Christy, Seamus and Paschal, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in both Kilkenny and Newbridge, his extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at his residence on Monday 12th June from 5pm, concluding with rosary and vigil prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Tuesday (13th) morning to St. Canice’s Church for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Kieran’s Cemetery. Liam’s Requiem Mass can be viewed on www.stcanicesparish.ie Flowers are welcome. House strictly private on Tuesday morning please.
Cecilia Mulhall (née McNiece)
The death has occurred of Cecilia Mulhall (née McNiece) of Kilcumney, Goresbridge, Co Kilkenny and formerly Devlin, Co Westmeath, passed away peacefully, on June 10th, 2023, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved wife of the late Dermot and much loved mother of David, Philip and Derek. She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Ann, Sharon and Isabella, extended family, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 14th, at 11am in The Church of the Holy Trinity, Goresbridge, followed by funeral afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium for Cremation Service at 2.30pm Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, to Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team.
Gabrielle Conroy (née Heffernan)
The death has occurred of Gabrielle Conroy (née Heffernan), 8 Maryville, Castlecomer, Kilkenny. 1 April 1946 - 10 June 2023. Gabrielle passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. Cherished and loved by her husband William (Liam), daughter Jacqueline and husband Andy, Pauline and her partner Ken, son Raymond and wife Denise, grandchildren Matthew, Patrick, Daniel, Jack, Liam, Sean, Ian and Lucy, great granddaughter Kyla, sisters in law Ann and Angela, brother in laws Paddy and Seamus, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Coady's Funeral Home, Castlecomer on Tuesday (13th June) from 4pm with Rosary and Funeral Prayers at 7pm, followed by removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
