The death has occurred of Edward (Eddie) Russell, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly publican and shopkeeper in Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny, August 22, 2024, peacefully in the loving care of family and staff at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick, in his 84th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Josephine. Deeply regretted and already much missed by his heartbroken family, Lynn, Edward, Jan, Julia, Naveed, granddaughters Kate and Charlotte, extended family, great neighbours and a wide circle of friends and wonderful carers.
Reposing at Doyle's Funeral Home, Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Sunday, August 25, from 5pm until 7pm followed by removal to St. Michael's Church, Crosspatrick (E41 K312), arriving at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Monday August 26, at 11.30am followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery.
The death has occurred of Shane Murphy, Torbanlea House, Graigue Hayden, Kilmanagh, Co. Kilkenny (Eircode R95 R6WA). Unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Pre-deceased by his grandparents. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his loving wife Maeve, his adored son Bill, parents Mary and Chris, his brother Darragh, sister-in-law Orlaith, parents-in-law Margaret and Ray, brother-in-law Richard, Richard’s partner Sara, grandmother-in-law Vera, uncles, aunts, his niece Ruby, nephews Harry and Jack, cousins, friends at River Rangers AFC, Graigue Ballycallan Hurling Club, the Kilkenny soccer community, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral arriving to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Kilmanagh, for Requiem Mass on Monday, August 26, at 11am. Burial will follow afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballykeeffe. Peacefully on August 24, 2024 with her family by her side under the wonderful care of the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital Kerry and the staff at Kilcara Nursing Home, Duagh. Predeceased by her parents Dan and Mary O'Neill and her sisters Bridie Fox (New York) and Peggy O'Sullivan (Killorglin). Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband Patrick, her adored children Marybeth, Stephanie (Leonard) and Aidan, son-in-law Michael,daughter-in-law Regina, her dearly cherished grandchildren Vincent, Grace, Sarah, Robyn and Cooper, brothers John, Tom and Dan, sisters Mary and Philomena, brother-in-law Paud, sister-in-law Bernie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends most especially the staff and residents at Kilcara Nursing Home Duagh .

The death has occurred of William Cottrell, Kilcullen, Thomastown, Kilkenny. Willie passed away suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in the wonderful care of the staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home. Willie was predeceased by his wife Claire. Willie is sadly missed by his daughter Mary (Aylward), sons William and Joe, daughters-in-law Lindsey and Siobhán, grandchildren Lucy, Ciara, Julie, Aoife, Tara, Liam, Ciarán, Seán, Rory and Cillian, sister Maura O'Neill, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
