Kilkenny Deaths - Thursday, December 5

Patrick (Paddy) Skehan

The death has taken place of Patrick (Paddy) Skehan on 18 Newtown Terrace, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, peacefully at his residence on Monday, December 3. Beloved husband of the late Nancy, predeceased by his brothers Tom, Frank, Tony and Michael. Much loved father of Pat, Anne, John and Dermot, grandfather to Stephanie, Conor, Darragh, Niall, Shane, Mark, Jack and Luke, great grandfather to Kayleigh and Ellie. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, son-in-law Paul, Sisters-in-law Gretta, Bridgie and Jo, nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family Monica, Eithna, Catherine and Maria and his many good friends and neighbours. A special thanks to Eithna for her exceptional care to Paddy in recent months.

Reposing in the Mercy Side Chapel, Church of the Assumption, Thomastown from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday 5th December, with prayers at 5pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, December 6 in the main Chapel at 11am followed by burial in St Mary's New Cemetery, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny.

Anne FLYNN (née Foley)

The death has taken place of Anne Flynn, The Mills, Freshford, Co Kilkenny and formerly of Reading, UK and Rathnure, Co Wexford. Anne passed away on Tuesday, December 3 at Kilkenny Care Centre, Newpark. Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Sarah, sister May (Cullen) and brothers Maurice, Seamus and Mick. Beloved mother of Bernadette, Tony and John. Anne will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in-law Diane, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass on Friday, December 6 at 11am in St Anne's Church, Rathnure, Co Wexford. Interment afterwards in Rathnure Cemetery.

Áine (Annette) COSTIGAN

The death has taken place of Áine Costigan (Annette) (Inchicore, Dublin 8, formerly of Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny) on Tuesday, December 3 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at St James Hospital. Beloved daughter of the late John and Christina, cherished sister of Helen, Adrian and Brendan, dear aunt of David, Sharon, Mark, Darragh, Niamh, Josh and great-aunt to Evan and Amelia. Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters-in-law Ria and Brigid, Monica and Rock (Manchester), relatives, extended network of friends and family all over the world.
