Coffee Stop Inistioge have been left ‘devastated’ after two incidents of vandalism have negatively impacted their business
A small local coffee depot has been left devastated after being targeted in a second incident of vandalism in the space of just three days, as gardaí investigate.
“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” Coffee Stop Inistioge said in a post to followers on social media, describing the incidents as ‘an attack on our community’.
“We are absolutely devastated that this has happened again to a small local business that means so much to so many people.
“We are heartbroken but we will NOT let this go. The gardaí are carrying out a full investigation and we will do everything through the proper channels to ensure those responsible are held accountable.…,” they added.
Just three days earlier, the same outlet were targeted, leaving the owners shocked and angered.
“Unfortunately, someone has broken into our horse box, smashed the locks and completely trashed the place. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and shame on whoever is responsible,” they posted to social media at the time.
“The gardaí are here investigating and checking CCTV from the surrounding area. Thankfully, there are cameras on many nearby buildings, so hopefully we can identify those responsible.
“But one thing is for sure, nobody will stop us! We are fully open and ready to serve everyone as normal today. This is only a bump in the road and we won’t let it stop us,” they continued.
“A massive thank you to everyone who has called in, texted and rang to check on us and show their support. It really means so much to us.”
