Kilkenny Deaths - Monday, April 28

Sr Joseph Christopher Hanrahan

The death has occurred of Hanrahan, Sr. Joseph Christopher (Nora), Religious Sisters of Charity, Sandymount, Dublin and formerly of Co Kilkenny.

Sr Joseph passed away in the loving care of the staff of Marian House Nursing Home. Pre-deceased by her parents, Dick and Elsie and her brother, Michael. Deeply regretted by her Community in Lakelands, the Sisters of the Congregation, her sister, Mary, her brothers, Martin and John, her sisters-in-law, Noreen, Angela and Rosemary, her brother-in-law, Jim, her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, the staff and residents of Marian House Nursing Home, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Monday, April 28 from 2pm to 4pm in Corrigan & Sons Funeral Home, 5 Lower Camden Street, (Eircode D02 DF22). Prayers at 3.30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29 at 11.30am in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Parish Church, Sandymount, followed by burial in the community cemetery, Donnybrook. 

John D. DORE

The death has occurred of John D Dore, 'Villa V'esta', Freshford Road, Kilkenny City, Co Kilkenny.

John passed away on Saturday, April 26 at St. Luke's Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Maura. Deeply regretted by his siblings Ted, Roseanne, Paddy, Elizabeth, Michael, Richard, David and Peter, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, all of whom loved John dearly, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Hehir's Funeral Home (R95 FH90) from 5pm on Monday, April 28 with Funeral Prayers at 6.30pm followed by removal to St Canice's Church. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12noon followed by interment in Danesfort Cemetery. No flowers please, donations if desired to the St Vincent de Paul Kilkenny (donation box in Church).
