Moira Dobbyn

The death has occurred of Moira Dobbyn, Rosedale Residential Care Centre,​​​​​​​ Kilmacow, and late of Woodstock, Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Monday, May 12, 2025. Peacefully in her 94th year in the tender care of her nieces and nephews and all the staff at University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her parents May and Richard, sisters Rita, Kathleen and Sr Leonie (Vera), brother Jim. Moira dearly loved and sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, sister-in-law Theresa, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Moira's removal will take place on Wednesday, May 14, to St Colmcille's Church, Inistioge, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by private burial in Kilcullen Cemetery. Funeral arrangements as per Moira's wishes. The family would like to thank most sincerely Rosedale Residential Care Centre, Kilmacow for the wonderful care, kindness, respect and love shown to Moira and all her family.

 

Anthony Hogan

The death has occurred of Anthony Hogan, 25 Hazel Grove, Loughboy, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of staff at Kilkenny Care Centre on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Pre-deceased by his parents James and Mary and his brothers Edward and Michael. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Anne and his son Paul, brothers Ger, Peter, Seamus and Noel, sisters-in-law Catherine, Carmel, Bridie, Ann, Ber and Ann, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral arriving to St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy, (Eircode R95 DK88) for Requiem Mass on Wednesday, May 14, at 10.30am. A Cremation Service will follow afterwards in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin (Eircode D6W HY98), at 2.15pm. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed at https://www.stpatricksparishkilkenny.com House strictly private please.

Robert (Bobby) Hovenden

The death has occurred of Robert (Bobby) Hovenden, The Swan Road, Durrow, Laois, R32 K7N1 / Kilkenny. Robert (Bobby), 98 years of age, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family while under the care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary and his sisters Janet and Edith. Robert (Bobby) will be be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children Ann, Robert, June, Leslie, Ken and Don, his brothers Arthur and Harry, sons-in-law Roy and Roger, daughters-in-law Valerie, Dor, Emma and Janine, his 11 adoring and cherished grandchildren, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Robert will repose at his residence, The Swan Road, Durrow R32 K7N1 on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in St Fintan's Church, Durrow, Co. Laois R32 X674 at 2pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. House private on Wednesday morning please. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to St Fintan's Church Organ Fund.
