The death has occurred of William John (Bill) Chambers, Shingaun, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. Formerly of Moneenroe, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, also Glasnevin, Dublin, and Portsmouth, England. Peacefully, surrounded by his family in the wonderful care of all the staff in Florence Ward, Wexford General Hospital. Loving father of Lorraine, Nicola, Clodagh, Liam and Mary and dearly loved brother of Joy, Kay, Geoffrey and the late Pat and Tony. Sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, brother, sisters, sons-in-law, his cherished grandchildren Jack, Freya, Sophia, Primrose, Max, Will, Gaia, Ben and Richard, family, relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place for family in The Victorian Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin on Monday afternoon, May 26, at 2.30p.m. followed by cremation. The death has occurred of Charles Hill, Shamrock Cottage, Main Street, Gowran, Kilkenny/ Charles passed peacefully in Gowran Abbey Nursing Home on May 24th. Deeply regretted by Marie and daughter Elaine and all his good friends. Predeceased by his son Alan.
Reposing in Hehir's Funeral Home Kilkenny, R95FH90 on Monday, May 26, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass at 11am in the Church of the Assumption Gowran on Tuesday, May 27, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on Gowran Parish Webcam.
The death has occurred of John Kilroy, Bennettsbridge, Kilkenny, R95 E8XN, and formerly of Green View Terrace, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Teresa, and loving father of Deirdre, Eleanor, Miriam, Thomas and Lucy, who are broken hearted and will miss him terribly. Lovingly remembered by his sons-in-law Cian, Rob, Thomas and Sean. His adoring grandchildren Oscar, Tara, Ruadhan, Amber, Hugh and Grainne who will feel his absence greatly, as well as his beloved sisters, Bernie (Sr. Mercy), Philly, and Ursula, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Predeceased by his sisters, Sr. Maureen and Josie (Sr. Perpetua) and brothers Michael, Paddy, Tommy and Brendan.
Reposing at his home in Bennettsbridge, (Eircode R95 E8XN), on Tuesday, May 27, from 3pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Funeral arriving to St. Bennett’s Church, Bennettsbridge (Eircode R95 HC93) for Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning, May 28, at 11.30am. Burial will follow afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.
The death has occurred of David (Dave) Drennan, Westfield, Loughboy, Kilkenny, on May 24, 2025 (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family at home. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Liamy. Beloved husband of Lorraine and loving father of Chris, Catherine, Richie, Mikey, Amy, Adam and Robert. Dave will be deeply missed by his wife and children, their partners, his siblings Annette, Jimmy and Molly, grandchildren Jenni, Justin, Aaron, Abby, Andreya, Jodie and Kaia, uncles, aunt, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.
