Sr. Pauline (Mary) Lawlor

The death has occurred of Sr Pauline (Mary) Lawlor, Daughter of Charity of St Vincent de Paul and late of Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny, on September 14, unexpectedly in the loving presence of the staff and sisters at 109 Mount Prospect Avenue, Clontarf. Predeceased by her Parents Margaret and Joseph, brothers Billy and Marty. Deeply regretted by her brother Sean and by her sisters Margo (Butler) and Pauline (Carroll), nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, the Community of the Daughters of Charity, extended family relatives and friends.

Reposing at St. Catherine's Provincial House, Blackrock (A94P2K3) Tuesday from 2.30pm with prayers at 5pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday, September 17, at 10.30am in St. Catherine's followed by burial at Deansgrange Cemetery. The Mass may be viewed on https://mcn.live/Cameras/st-catherines-provincial-house

Agnes Forrest (née Burns)

The death has occurred of Agnes Forrest (née Burns), Ashbourne House, Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny, and late of Moneygold, Grange, Co. Sligo, who died on Monday, September 15, 2025, aged 95 years. Peacefully, at her home in the tender care of her family, predeceased by her parents Michael James and Mary, brothers John, Roger and Michael James, sister Margaret. Agnes will be sadly missed by her loving husband Jerry, daughters Mary (DeMarco) and Grace (O'Brien), sons John, Michael, Jerry and Roger, sons-in-law Ross and Leslie, daughters-in-law Joan, Nuala and Gillian, grandchildren Cara Mia, Giovanna, Fiora, Dianora, Sarah, Robert, Isabel, Tom, Aisling, Joe, Niamh, Áine and Charlie, great grandchildren Kacey, Callie, Jessie, Max, Leo, Adie, Vinny and Caruso, brother Paddy, sisters-in-law Mary and Claire, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Agnes will be reposing in Power's Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Thursday, September 18, from 4.30pm followed by removal at 6.30pm, to Church of The Assumption, Slieverue.  Agnes's Requiem Mass will take place on Friday 19th at 10am after which Agnes will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Ann Holohan (née Kelly)

The death has occurred of Ann Holohan (née Kelly), Beladd, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, and formerly of Barrack Street, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Ann passed away on September 15, 2025, peacefully at Kilkenny Care Centre, Newpark, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Jim Holohan (Levalley, Galmoy) and much loved mother of Deirdre, Justin and Damien. Ann will be dearly missed by her loving family, sisters Catherine, Helen, Mary, Geraldine and Margaret, brothers Pat, Eamonn, Declan and John, daughters-in-law Samantha and Maria, grandchildren Christopher, Niamh, Ciara, Aoife, Jack, Matthew, Maisie and Samuel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Ann is predeceased by her parents Eddie and Ellen Kelly, Barrack Street, Castlecomer.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Tuesday, September 16, from 5pm to 7pm pausing for Rosary and Prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Galmoy, Co. Kilkenny (E41W257). Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Johnny (Kerr) Kelly

The death has occurred of Johnny (Kerr) Kelly, Castle Avenue, Thomastown, Kilkenny. Johnny passed away peacefully at his home on September 15, 2025 in the loving care of his family. Johnny is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary, his brother Pa and sister Joan, Much loved husband of Mary, beloved father of Trisha, Edel, Sinéad, Órla, Niamh and Aoife, Sons-in-Law Paul, Johnny, Crocky, John and Dryden, his grandchildren Aisling, Megan, Áine, Keelin, Caoimhe, Saoirse, Clíodhna, Fionn, Siobhan, Eoin and Ciara, great granddaughter Sophie. Johnny will be greatly missed by his extended family and many friends.

Reposing at his residence from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, September 16, pausing for rosary and vigil prayers at 6pm. Arriving for Requiem mass on Wednesday at 11am in The Church of the Assumption, Thomastown, followed by burial in St Mary's New Cemetery Thomastown. Family flowers only. Eileen Ryan (née Leahy)

The death has occurred of Eileen Ryan (née Leahy), St. Fiacre's Place, Kilkenny. Eileen passed away on September 15, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by family and in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Gabriel's Ward. Beloved wife of the late Jim and much loved mother of Noel, Breda (Hennessy), Catherine (Dowling) and Ann-Marie (Lawlor). Eileen will be dearly missed by her loving family, brother Martin (USA), daughter-in-law Breda, sons-in-law Joe, Martin and Micheál, grandchildren Ciara, Aisling, Mark, Mary, James, Claire, Sean, Liam, Meabh, Darragh, Aoibh and Brian, her great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Eileen is predeceased by her parents Jack and Bridget, sister Kathleen and brothers Sean (Georgie) and Michael.

Reposing at her daughter Breda's home, "Silver Springs", Waterford Road, Kilkenny (R95W7KC) on Tuesday, September 16, from 4pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Kilkenny. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery (walking via St. Fiacre's Place). House private on Wednesday please.
