The death has occurred of John Poole, Chalet No. 2, Hugginstown, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully, at his daughter, Monica’s residence, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Pre-deceased by his mam Bridget and his sisters Eileen Clancy and Ann Doyle. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing family. Much loved father of Monica, Christine and Valerie, loving grandfather to Evan, Alex, Richie, Fionn and Maisy. John will be missed dearly by his friend Emily, his brothers Tom, Paddy, Oliver and Michael, his sisters Kathleen, Brigid and Margaret, sons-in-law Billy and Niall, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of special friends.
Reposing at his daughter, Monica’s residence, Hugginstown, Co. Kilkenny, (Eircode R95 P985) on Friday, September 19, from 4pm to 8pm pausing for Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Prayers on Saturday, September 20, at 10am followed by removal to The Church of the Holy Trinity, Hugginstown, (Eircode R95 FH74) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial will follow afterwards in Calvary Cemetery, Hugginstown.
The death has occurred of Tomás Mullally, Green Street, Callan, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Lismolin, Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary and London. Peacefully, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Pre-deceased by his parents Thomas and Kitty and his brothers Gerard and PJ. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing family, his brothers Bobby, Michael, John Joe and Patrick, sister-in-law Anne, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan (R95 Y443) on Friday, September 19, from 5pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Prayers on Saturday, September 20, at 10.15am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. The death has occurred of John Larkin, Knocklyon Park, D.16, formerly of Piltown, Co. Kilkenny, on September 17, 2025. Peacefully surrounded by his family in the tender care of the staff of St. Glady’s Nursing Home, Harold’s Cross. Beloved husband of the late Patricia, loving and much loved father of David, Hilary and Andrew. John will be forever loved and dearly missed by his sons and daughter, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Valeria and Vanessa, his adored grandchildren Sophia, Cecily, Edmund, Olivia, Patrick, Lucy and Felix, sister-in-law Bernice, extended family, relatives and friends. John is now reunited with his beloved wife Patricia and baby granddaughter Margaret Mary.

The death has occurred of Ellen (Nellie) Corcoran (née Lee), Marble Crest, Loughboy, Kilkenny City and formerly of Castleinch and Kilmoganny, ho wdied peacefully in the exceptional care of all the staff in Tennypark Nursing Home on September 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Predeceased by her husband Jim, brothers and sister. Deeply regretted by her daughter Joan (Browne) and son Jim. Forever missed by her son in law Sean, daughter in law Catherine, grand-daughter Roisin and her sister May (UK), extended family, nieces and nephews, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Nellie will repose at Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 5pm concluding with rosary and vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem mass will be celebrated on Sunday, September 21, at 1:30pm in St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy, followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery.
