The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Wall, (retired Army James Stephens Barracks, Kilkenny) Hillview, Bennettsbridge and formerly of Goresbridge, Co. Kilkenny, who died suddenly on September 22, 2025 surrounded by his loving family in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ann (Nan), brothers John and Tom, sisters Margie and Ann. Deeply missed by his devoted and loving wife Annette and son Paddy, daughter in law Valika. Forever missed and loved by his adored grandchildren Sam, Sophia and Lukas, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, in particular Mary, Michael and Jenny.
Reposing in Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City on Thursday, September 25, from 5pm to 7pm with rosary and vigil prayers at 5:30pm. Requiem mass will be celebrated on Friday (26th) at 11am in St. Kieran’s Church, Tullaherin (R95 X970), followed by burial in Bennettsbridge Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Irish Cancer Society. Donation box in funeral home and church. Pat’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to GP Dr. Hally, Goresbridge, to the ambulance personnel and Fire Service who attended to Pat and good neighbour Sean Nolan. Predeceased by her husband Michael and her daughter Creina. Peacefully, in the tender care of her loving family and all the staff at The South East Palliative Care Centre, Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, parents Percy and Mary. The death has occurred of Ann Cassidy, Mayfield, Cork City, formerly Castlecomer, who passed away on September 21, peacefully but unexpectedly after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful and exceptional care of the staff at CareChoice Montenotte Nursing Home. Previous manager of SVP shop Mayfield. Wife of Patrick. Cherished mother of Maria, Martin and Darren. Predeceased by her brother Dave, sisters Elizabeth and Mary. Carlow, who passed away peacefully in the care of the kind staff in the Barrow Ward, St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on September 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son Brian, parents Michael and Mary, brothers John, Mikie, Eddie, Gerry, Paddy, Jimmy and his sister May. The death has occurred of Bridget Yeigh (née Power) of Freeburg, Pennsylvania, USA, and formerly of Luffany, Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny. Bridget passed away in Pennsylvania on September 20, 2025, aged 85 years. Pre deceased by her husband Ben, her sisters Stasia and Kathleen, her brothers, Willie, Ned, Dick and Tommy. Bridget will be sadly missed by her daughter Tracy, her sisters Peggy, Alice and Mary, son-in-law Gary, granddaughters Rebecca and Margaret, grandson Josh, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephew, relatives and friends.
Bridget will be laid to rest in Pennsylvania.

The death has occurred of Mary O’Neill (née Donnelly), DeLoughrey Place, and formerly of Pearse Street, Kilkenny City, who died peacefully in her 95th year at her home on September 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Predeceased by her husband Jack, her parents Winifred and Patrick Donnelly, brother Francie and Paddy (Jnr), sisters Peggy and Bridie, great grand-son Jack and grand-daughter Annie. Deeply missed and regretted by her loving family, sons and daughters Billy, Trish and Gabriel. Her brother Liam, daughters in law Breda and Brenda and Trish’s partner Tony. Forever missed by her adored grand-children, great grand-children and great great grand-children, nieces, nephews, extended family, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
