Finola Barron (née Murphy)

The death has occurred of Finola Barron (née Murphy), November 27, 2025. Finola passed away peacefully following a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Michael, adored mother of Eleanor, Pat, Mary, Majella, Alison and Michael, dear sister to Jack, Clodagh and Alanna. Predeceased by her parents Bridie and Jack Murphy, sister Colleen brothers Mikey, Davy and Tom. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Michael, Annelise, Ben, Rhianna and Imogen, daughter-in-law Geraldine, sons-in-law Jerry, Declan, Bill, Vincent and Jaime, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Doyle's Funeral Home, The Old Rectory, Rosbercon, New Ross from 4.30pm on Saturday, November 29, with prayers at 7pm, followed by removal to St. James' Church, Glenmore. Requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Sunday, November 30. A private family cremation service on Monday, December 1. In lieu of flowers donations to The Oak Ward WRH (donation box in Funeral Home and Church). Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.glenmoreparish.ie

Claire Bolton (née Coughlan)

The death has occurred of Claire Bolton(née Coughlan), Parksgrove, Ballyragget, Kilkenny / Lisdowney, Kilkenny. Claire died peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday,  November 19, at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Predeceased by her mother, Lily, her father, Jack, and her sister, Paddie. Deeply missed by her son, Patrick, daughter, Ciara and sister, Carmel, and her many relatives and close friends.

Jim Galavan

The death has occurred of Jim Galavan, Rathfarnham and formerly The Rower, Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross. Predeceased by his parents Willie and Peg, his brother Pat, his daughter Mary-Margaret and his brothers-in-law Phil, Peter and John. Beloved husband of Statia, adored dad of Katie and Niamh, cherished grandad of Fiadh and father-in-law of Jamie. Jim will be deeply missed and remembered always by his heartbroken family, his brother Liam, his sisters Mary, Joanne and Margaret, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends, especially his GAA family in Ballyboden St Enda's.

Jim will repose in Peter Massey Funerals, The Ruah Centre, Ballyroan (D14 T0C8) on Sunday, November 30, from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral mass will take place on Monday, at 10am, in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan with burial thereafter in Kilmashogue Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all staff in St Catherine's Ward, Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Jim during his time with them

Monica McMunn (née Murray)

The death has occurred of Monica McMunn (née Murray), Stoneyford and formerly of Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Monica passed away on November 26, 2025, peacefully, at Drakelands Nursing Home, Kilkenny. Sadly missed by her loving family, brothers Dinny and Joe, sister Martha, sister-in-law Betty, nephews, nieces, dear friends John and Kathleen, who supported her with great kindness, and a wider circle of neighbours and friends. Monica is predeceased by her husband Robert, sisters Bernie, Eileen, Kathleen, Margaret and Tory, and brothers Gerard, Jackie and Paddy. Sincere thanks to Phil and the exceptionally caring staff at Drakelands Nursing Home, Co. Kilkenny.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95 XE00) on Friday, November 28, from 5pm concluding with Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am in St. Brendan's Church, Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Ita Moore

The death has occurred of Ita Moore, Rathfarnham, Dublin, late of Kilkenny City, Kilkenny. Peacefully In the tender care of the doctors and nurses at Naas General Hospital. Sadly missed by her brother Colm, nephews Enda, Neal and Peter and her niece Anna, sister-in-law Mary, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 10am followed by cremation at the garden Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W.
