The death has occurred of Nancy Nolan (née Wallace), Stoney Road, Loon, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully, at her home surrounded by her loving family. In her 94th year, on February 21, 2026. Predeceased by her husband Terry, parents Dick and Mary, sisters Mary (Wallace) and Statia (O'Donnell). Cherished Mother of Richie, lovingly missed by her daughter-in-law Linda, adored grandchildren Gary, Ciara, and Susan, nieces Mary and Helen O'Donnell, and nephews Eddie and Christopher O'Donnell, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing at the residence of her son Richie, Stoney Road, Castlecomer (R95 N2XN) from 2pm on Monday, February 23, concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 9pm. Funeral cortege arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Clogh, on Tuesday for Requiem Mass at 11am. Nancy will be laid to rest thereafter in the adjoining cemetery. The death has occurred of Margaret (Gretta) Malone, 46 Newpark Lower, Kilkenny and late of Farnans, Crettyard. Gretta passed away on February 20, 2026, peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Barney and son David Laurence. Beloved mother of Anne, Patrick, John Joe, Michael, Brian, Paul and Ivan. Gretta will be sadly missed by her loving family, sisters, daughters-in-law, her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, in a special way her grandson Kane, her extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of John Joe (Jack) Hunt, Dunganstown, New Ross, Co. Wexford. John Joe passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary Kate and his infant brother Michael. John Joe will be sadly missed, forever loved and fondly remembered by his loving wife Kathleen, his sons Pat and Stephen, his daughters Mary and Brenda, daughters-in-law Cáit and Helen, sons-in-law Justin and Richie, his adored grandchildren Seán, Emer, Rory, Cían, Rónan, Tom, Owen, Joe and Ella, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, neices, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of David Gay, 5 Marian Place, Bennettsbridge, Co. Kilkenny, and formerly of "White Rock", Church Road, Carrigaline, Co. Cork. David passed peacefully at his home with family on February 19, 2026. Beloved husband of Felicity and much loved father of Simon and Debbie. David will be dearly missed by his wife, son and daughter, grandchildren Max, Sam, Faye, Marcus and Sarah, daughter-in-law Lydia, son-in-law Andrew, sister-in-law Hazel, brother-in-law Nick, cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends, neighbours and by his loyal companions Billy and Archie. David is predeceased by his brother Cecil and sisters Heather and Deirdre.
David's Funeral Service will take place on Monday, February 23, at 12noon in St. Peter's Church, Ennisnag, Co. Kilkenny followed by a private cremation on Tuesday.
The death has occurred of William (Liam) Brennan, Picketstown, Tullaroan, Kilkenny, in St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny. Pre deceased by his mother Elizabeth and father Patrick, son John Oliver, daughter Martina, and brothers James and Patrick. He will be deeply missed by his wife Millie, his sons; Patrick and Liam Óg, daughters: Annette, Mill, Catherine, Teresa, Jaqueline, and Nicola. His sisters: Ann Marie (Kilkenny) and Yvonne (Clive, New Zealand) and his brother John (Callan, Midleton and Dublin), his grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Liam was very proud of his age, as he was in his 92nd year and he spent over 40 years working with the Electrical Supply Board (ESB) and he retired at 59. Liam and his wife Millie were married for 63 years.
Mass will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Tullaroan, Co. Kilkenny. Burial afterwards in Tullaroan Cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed at this link on Monday, February 23.
The death has occurred of P J (Paddy) Brennan, Doninga, Goresbridge, Co. Kilkenny and late of Athy, Co. Kildare, peacefully in the tender care of his family. Deeply regretted by his loving children Maeubh and John and their mother Sarah, his sisters Kathleen, Esther and Alice and his brother Ger along with the wider family circle, work colleagues in the Lord Bagenal Inn and his many friends.
