Joseph (Jody) Laffan

The death has occurred of Joseph (Jody) Laffan, New Aglish, Mooncoin, Kilkenny. Jody passed away peacefully on Tuesday surrounded by his loving family at The Oak Ward, UHW. Predeceased by his parents Billy and Peggy, sister Breda and brother Freddie. Sadly missed by his loving wife Jo, children Caroline, Liam and Joseph, Jo’s daughter Olive, brothers Jack and Donie, sisters Ena, Maura and Josephine, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Thursday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 5pm until 7pm. Arriving in Friday at The Church of the Assumption Mooncoin for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery. Catherine (Kay) O'Neill (née Marnell)

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kay) O'Neill, Garden Villas, Nuncio Road, and formerly of Newpark, Kilkenny. Kay passed away on 2nd March 2, 2026, unexpectedly, at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Beloved wife of the late Tom, much loved mother of Trevor and Ciara and adored nanny of Tommy and Robbie. Kay will be dearly missed by her heartbroken family, sisters Carmel, Helen and Mary, brothers Jim, Seán and Martin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, extended family, kind neighbours, many close friends and all who knew her. Kay's family would like to extended their heartfelt gratitude to all those who helped and offered support to Kay during her recent illness.

Eamonn Kinsella

The death has occurred of Eamonn Kinsella, Ballytarsney, Mooncoin, Kilkenny / Mooncoin, Waterford. Former employee of HP Chemie Pelzer. Eamonn passed away peacefully on Sunday surrounded by his loving family at The Oak Ward, UHW. Predeceased by his parents Tommy and Anna. Sadly missed by his loving sisters Rene, Breda and Mary, brothers Liam and John Joe, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Reposing on Friday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 5pm until 7pm. Arriving in Saturday at The Church of the Assumption, Mooncoin (via his residence) for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in the new cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations to The Oak Ward. Ann Delaney

The death has occurred of Ann Delaney, Dromcondra, Dublin 9 and formerly Glashare, Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny. Ann went to her eternal reward on March 2, 2026 in the presence of her loving family and in the excellent care of nurses and staff at Beneavin Lodge Nursing Home Glasnevin, Co. Dublin. Predeceased by her father John, mother Catherine, brothers Liam and Pat, sister-in-law Mary-Ann, brother-in-law Tony. Deeply regretted by her sister Josie, brothers John and Con, sister-in-law Martha, nieces Ethna and Caroline, nephews Seán, Declan, Paul, Dominic and William, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives and a close circle of friends.

Removal on Wednesday morning, March 4, to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Galmoy arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.  Family flowers only please.

John Aylward

The death has occurred of John Aylward, Shanbough, Rosbercon, New Ross, Co. Kilkenny, on March 1, 2026.John, aged 87 years, loving son of the late Bridget and John, brother of the late Katie, Maggie, Larry, Neddy, Mikey, Paddy, Biddy and May, also remembering his recently deceased sister-in-law Minnie, nephew Johnny and niece Amy. Deeply regretted his loving family, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Removal from Doyle's Funeral Home, Rosbercon, at 11.30am on Wednesday, March 4, to The Church of The Assumption, Rosbercon for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed on https://rosberconparish.ie/
