The late Bernard M Byrne

The death has occurred of Bernard M Byrne, Marymount, Ferrybank, Waterford and Kilkenny.  Former Senior District Court Clerk for Kilkenny who died on 19th March. Peacefully, at University Hospital, Waterford, surrounded by his loving family. Predeacesed by his wife Nancy. Bernard will be sadly missed by his daughter Rachel (Barry), son Greg, daughter-in-law Marian, son-in law Tony, grandchildren Raymond, Adrian, Julianne, Mia and Nathan, sisters Una (Boucher) and Monica (Kearns) brother-in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, family and friends.

Reposing in Powers Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Monday 20th March from 5:30pm with prayers at 7:00pm. Removal on Tuesday 21th March to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.


The late Polly Bergin

The death has occurred of Polly Bergin (née Walsh), Kilkenny St., Freshford, Kilkenny. Wife of the late Michael and mother of the late Tony. In the loving care of the management and staff in St. Catherine's Nursing Home, Freshford. Deeply regretted by her sons John, Nicky, Noel, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.The late Polly Bergin

Reposing at the residence of her son Noel, Carrigeen, Rathmoyle on Sunday from 12 noon with rosary at 7 o'clock. Funeral prayers on Monday morning at 10 o'clock followed by removal to St. Lachtain's Church for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St. Lachtain's Cemetery.


The late Therese Chown

The death has occurred of Therese Cown (née McGrath), 54 St. Fiacre's Place, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny. (Kent, England and formerly of 54 St. Fiacre's Place, Kilkenny) 4th March 2017, in England, Therese, predeceased by her parents David and Sadie, much loved mother of Ciara and Meagan, sadly missed by her daughters, brothers John and Michael, sister-in-law Sue, aunts Tess and Nuala, nieces, extended family and friends.

Funeral Prayers on Wednesday evening (22nd March) at 7.30 o'clock in Johnston's Funeral Home followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11 o'clock. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery.

Reposing at Ryan's funeral home, New Ross from 3 O'clock tomorrow Sunday (19th March) with prayers at 8 O'clock. Funeral arriving to St Colmcille's Church, Inistioge Monday (20th March) for 2 O'clock funeral mass. Burial afterwards in Cappagh Cemetery.


The late Liam Kavanagh

The death has occurred of William (Liam) Kavanagh, 7 Oakwood, Kilfera, Bennettsbridge Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny. 

Peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital on March 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, William (Liam), beloved husband of Therese and much loved father of Keith, Susan, Warren and Matthew, sadly missed by his wife and family, mother Lena, brother Martin, sisters Julie and Eileen, son-in-law Neil, daughter-in-law Gillian, grandchildren Adam, Alex, Keeley, Abi, Kirsty, Jamie and Noah, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home from 4 o'clock on Saturday with Rosary at 7 o'clock. Removal on Sunday morning to St. Mary's Cathedral, Kilkenny, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o'clock. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery. House private on Sunday please.
