Kilkenny’s Heritage Office is hosting a free Bumblebee Identification workshop on April 13 between 10am and 1pm in Kilkenny City.
During the workshop you will learn about Ireland’s bumblebees, how to identify the different species, and how to take part in the All-Ireland Bumblebee Monitoring Scheme. The initial session will be indoors but will be followed by a walk to put your new skills into practice (weather permitting). Those attending will be encouraged to have completed the online NBDC bumblebee workshop, the in person training will build on the online workshop content.
