Bruce Springsteen has been forced to call off the September leg of his United States tour to receive medical treatment for a peptic ulcer.
The 73-year-old had a number of concerts lined up for the remainder of the month and he hopes that he will be able to play them at a later date.
Eager local fans will be hoping that the rocker's health and tour date setbacks will not impact potential and highly-speculated but not-yet-confirmed future concert dates at Nowlan Park and Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
It is not the first time this year that the artist has been unfortunately forced to postpone gigs due to illness.
Posting on social media, Springsteen said that 'over here on E Street, we're heartbroken to have to postpone these shows'.
"We'll be back to pick up these shows and then some," he added.
