Details have been unveiled for the Kilkenny Valentine Night Dinner
With Christmas now over, attention turns to the next big social session. February 14 is on the way and, as it happens, details have been unveiled for the 2019 Kilkenny Valentine Night Dinner.
The annual event was set up by Ballyhale woman Mary Harrington, a one-woman powerhouse who has spearheaded its organisation since 2011. Since then it’s raised more than €100,000 for three local groups — the Kilkenny branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association and Enable Ireland at the O’Neill Centre as well as the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team.
The home care crew will again benefit from the latest installment which this year is moving to the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel.
There’s a 7.30pm start for the occasion which includes a four-course meal, a special guest performance by the Castlecomer Male Voice Choir with DJ Pat Treacy keeping the music going.
There’s also an auction for an array of fabulous items. So whether you’ve had to avail of the home care’s services over the years and want to give something back or you just fancy supporting the work they do get a group together and take a table, organise the girls for a night out, bring your partner or come solo to make new friends.
However you get there, it’s always a super night full of laughter and fun while helping a local team of people who do so much good in our community.
Tickets cost just €30 per person. For more details see Kilkenny Valentine Night Dinner on Facebook.
