Virgin Media Television is looking for new families and groups of friends from across Ireland to take part in the next series of the hit show...
Gogglebox Ireland is returning to Virgin Media Television for a brand-new series, and producers are looking for fresh faces from across the country, including right here in Kilkenny.
For the past decade, the hit show has invited viewers into living rooms around Ireland, capturing the laughs, opinions and unforgettable reactions of families and friends as they watch the week's biggest TV moments.
Now, with a new series on the way, casting is officially underway for the next generation of sofa stars.
Producers are particularly keen to hear from tight-knit groups of friends in their 20s, saying they're looking for fresh, young voices to join the programme.
They're also searching for new families who enjoy spending time together in front of the television. Whether it's parents and children, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles or a mix of generations, families with younger members aged 12 and over are especially encouraged to apply.
From households that never miss Ireland AM to those who gather only for major sporting events, Gogglebox Ireland celebrates the unique personalities and viewing habits found in homes across the country.
The programme says it is committed to reflecting the diverse people, perspectives and communities that make up modern Ireland, and hopes to showcase another broad mix of voices in the upcoming series.
So, if you think your Kilkenny household or friendship group has what it takes to entertain the nation from the comfort of your sofa, now could be your chance to be part of one of Ireland's most popular television shows.
Applications for the new series are now open through the Gogglebox Ireland casting team. Email [email protected] with your contact details, tell them who's in your gang, where you're based, what you like to watch together, and include a couple of photos so they can put faces to names!
