Kilkenny man Leeson Neale has won a Pasture Progress Award, which recognises progress in grazing management by farmers across the country.
The Chairman of Grass10, John Macnamara presented the Pasture Progress Awards on, Tuesday, April 7 at the Teagasc, Johnstown Castle, County Wexford.
These farmers are growing and utilising more pasture on their farms, contributing to sustainable livestock production systems. This progress was assessed using PastureBase Ireland. The awards are supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with an overall prize fund of €40,000.

The Pasture Progress Awards are part of the Teagasc Grass10 Campaign which is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Teagasc, AIB, FBD, Grassland Agro and the Irish Farmers Journal.
The Leinster Winner of Pasture Progress Awards is Liam Rochford, from Cleariestown, County Wexford who will represent Leinster and compete with other regional winners to become the overall winner of the Pasture Progress Awards.
