GAA President Jarlath Burns to appear in Kilkenny this weekend

From this week’s Ballyragget Notes in the Kilkenny People
Saint Patrick’s GAA and camogie club will mark a very special occasion on Sunday with the official opening of Declan Delaney’s Field by GAA President Jarlath Burns.
The field was generously donated to St Patrick’s by Maura Delaney. The official opening represents a hugely significant moment in the history and future of the club.
Mr Burns was in County Kilkenny just two weeks ago for the opening of a new ball-wall and astro-turf pitch in memory of the late Luke Harney in Kilmacow.
Now, the Uachtarán will swap South Kilkenny for north.
Next weekend, activities will begin around the club grounds from 11.30am, involving teams and players representing both the past and future of St. Patrick’s, ahead of the arrival of the GAA President at 12 noon.
The club warmly invites all members, former members, supporters, families, friends and the wider community to come along and join us for what promises to be a memorable and historic day for St Patrick’s.
