Kilkenny’s Shamrock’s hurling club are set for the hallowed turf of Croke Park, this weekend, for the All Ireland Senior Club Hurling Final.
The South Kilkenny club will face Dunloy, of Antrim.
Shamrock’s, based around the village of Ballyhale, is situated at the heart of the Callan Thomastown municipal district. When local councillors met for their recent monthly meeting the match was on their minds!
Cllr Deirdre Cullen wished the club all the best on Sunday.
“They are a phenomenal team and a phenomenal club,” she praised them. “We’re backing them all the way for the final.”
