Jamesie O’Connor says it’s vital Brian Lohan remains Clare hurling manager.

Former team-mate of Brian Lohan’s, Jamesie O’Connor, feels that it is of utmost importance for him to remain in his current position as Clare hurling boss.

Defeat to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday last brought the curtain down on this year’s campaign for Clare.

Double All-Ireland winner Jamesie O’Connor believes that Lihan should continue to guide the squad forward into the 2024 season.

O’Connor continued by saying “Look no one will be as disappointed as Brian, but it is really important now that Brian takes a bit of time and that he goes back at the helm next year.

I have no doubt he will go back and look to see where they can find these tiny percentages that often make the difference in games. The players have huge respect for him and the effort that man has put in is incredible.”

Brian Lohan has guided Clare to two Munster finals and two All-Ireland semi finals since his appointment as manager and many in the county will be eager for him to remain in the position.
