Sporting fans now have the opportunity to purchase seating from Croke Park.

The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) have commenced a €12 million refurbishment of Croke Park’s Cusack Stand which will include replacing the seats in the stand and upgrading the conference centre and suites among other works.

The seats will be available to purchase and are set to go on auction, according to the Irish Independent ‘A limited edition of 250 reconditioned 'twin' seats from Croke Park's iconic stands are to go on sale as the stadium undergoes an extensive refurbishment that will see some 36,000 seats around the lower decks replaced.’

The old Cusack was knocked in 1993 after the All-Ireland football final that year and was re-opened in 1996 as part of the redevelopment of the whole stadium.

This refurbishment of the stand involves replacing the seats, upgrading the conference centre, suites, and bathrooms as well as an upgrade to the heating system to make it more energy efficient.
