Kilkenny GAA club to celebrate grand opening

The formal opening of the James Stephens clubrooms extension at Pairc Sheamuis Stiophain will be held on Saturday, May 25. Long serving club president Liam Tyrrell will unveil the plaque at 1.15pm to mark the formal opening of the newly constructed meeting room, kitchen, ladies and gents toilets, shop and medical room.

The plaque marking the opening of Pairc Sheamuis Stiophain, almost a decade ago to the day in 2014, has been suitably repositioned to the front of the new development. The building will be blessed by Fr Kieran O’Shea. The ceremony will be preceded by the Billy Walton Blitz tournament between teams selected from the senior and junior panels. At the same time there will be a juvenile blitz and a camogie blitz to honour the occasion. Copies of the recently published 135 Years of History - In Brief will be available to attendees. All are welcome to come along.
