Bennettsbridge's David Blanchfield
Bennettsbridge turned around a five point deficit with 10 minutes to go to beat a resilient Clara and book their spot in the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship Quarter-Finals.
Three late David Blanchfield scores and a winning point Sean Morrissey secured a 0-16 to 0-14 win but speaking to the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast, Blanchfield believes they will need to improve their performance levels when facing Tullaroan in Canon Kearns Park on Saturday evening.
Asked how they turned around the game he said: "It's down to the basics, it's hard work, getting the ball to hand, all the basics. We didn't go mad at half-time, we said everyone nice and relaxed now, stayed positive and just keep tipping away at the scoreboard which is what we did."
