Two Kilkenny GAA clubs to receive over €150,000 in funding

Two Kilkenny GAA clubs have received a large cash injection under the 2024 Community Centre Investment Fund.

James Stephens and Lisdowney GAA Clubs received €92,954 and €71,000 respectively to upgrade their facilities.

Works at the James Stephens club will include rewiring and the installation of accessible toilets to bring their Larchfield clubrooms up to safety standards.

Meanwhile, at the Lisdowney clubrooms, a new fire alarm, emergency lighting and the upgrade of toilet and kitchen facilities will be installed following the allocation.

The funding follows an announcement from Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary, of funding of over €1 million under the 2024 Community Centre Investment Fund to be spread across 12 community centres/organisations in County Kilkenny.
