Three-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny, Andy Comerford is confident Derek Lyng and his panel have the 'pedigree' to turn their fortunes around despite an inconsistent Allianz Hurling League so far.

"We need a big performance (against Limerick," Comerford told CRKC Sport after Kilkenny's loss to Tipperary.

"Collectively we have the best 32 players training that are in the county so any lad can hit form or be out form or get an injury," he said, adding, "it's great to have the best 32 players in the county, I wouldn't like to have the job of narrowing that down to 24 and I definitely wouldn't like to have the job of narrowing it down to 15."
"The players are there, we have the pedigree," he continued, affirming, "championships is what it's all about."
