Kilkenny legend claims county is 'in trouble' if they lose these two 'massive games'

As the countdown continues to the start of the new hurling season, two-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny, Richie Power snr has signposted the Cats' opening two games of the provincial series as make or break for the black and amber in 2025.

Derek Lyng's men will start their Leinster Senior Hurling Championship campaign at home to Galway on the Easter-Bank Holiday weekend.

"To me Kilkenny versus Galway in (UPMC) Nowlan Park and Antrim versus Kilkenny, they're the first two rounds of the Leinster Championship and I honestly think they're a massive, massive games for Kilkenny," Power said.

"If they go wrong for us we're in trouble," he added.

"Leinster is going to be very competitive."
