The Leinster squad has been named for the upcoming Men’s Junior Interprovincial series, which kicks off this weekend.

Among those to feature from the locality is ex-Kilkenny hurler and New Ross RFC's Walter Walsh. The three-time All-Ireland winner and Tullogher Rosbercon clubman returned to rugby after a decorated hurling career last year.

Meanwhile, Kilkenny RFC players; Josh Evans, Garry Dunne and Jake Caldbeck have all also been selected to play.

The home province begin their campaign against Ulster on Saturday at the Gorey RFC grounds at 3pm, with a number of Kilkenny personnel involved.

This season’s captain is Boyne RFC player Eoghan Duffy. Eoghan has just had a very successful season with his home club Boyne RFC, who won Leinster League Div 1B and are promoted to Division 1A for next season.
