Kilkenny selector backs decision to host huge games in UPMC Nowlan Park as double header

UPMC Nowlan Park

Kilkenny senior camogie selector Jimmy Meagher has backed the decision to host Kilkenny and Waterford in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship and Kilkenny against Tipperary in the All-Ireland U20 Hurling Final as a double-header in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday.

"What a time to be a Kilkenny GAA supporter," Meagher told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.

"It was great to see both associations come together and play both matches together in Nowlan Park. Like having the Camogie Association and the GAA have a conversation about that last Monday and be able to find a way to work it is fantastic," he continued.

"To be playing before the U20 All-Ireland tomorrow (Saturday) is fantastic."
