Kilkenny native Conor O'Carroll has told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast winning the Christy Ring Cup is 'huge' in his hurling career.
O'Carroll has been loving life in London since making the move three years ago but did admit it can be difficult watching his beloved Lisdowney from afar, with the GAA an important taste of home in the UK.
"You're happy that they're winning but but there's also an element of you that wants to be there as well," O'Carroll told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast prior to the final.

However, the local man has gotten a taste of home in recent weeks with plenty of well wishes coming from his home club ahead of a huge personal milestone, as the Lisdowney man prepares to feature for London in today's Christy Ring Cup Final.
"It would be huge for me. I've never won an All-Ireland medal and I didn't think I would when I moved to London. Kilkenny was always a far away achievement for me. It didn't seem like a likely possibility. It seemed impossible five years ago so it would be a big personal achievement but it would also be so much to share it with the lads on the team as well."
