A Tipperary veterinary clinic has launched a tongue-in-cheek neutering campaign called “Castrate the Cats” in the build-up to next weekend’s All-Ireland semi-final between Kilkenny and Tipperary.
Arra Veterinary Clinic, based in Tipperary Town, are offering a special rate for cat owners who book their pets in for neutering before the big match.

The clinic is charging €30 for male cats and €55 for females under the limited-time offer, which runs until match day.
The clinic said it was the “purr-fect time” to do some good for feline welfare as they aim to highlight the benefits of neutering, including reducing unwanted litters, preventing spraying and roaming, and supporting overall cat health.

“No Kilkenny cats were harmed in the making of this ad,” the clinic added, making it clear that the campaign is all in good fun.
