O'Loughlin Gaels manager Brian Hogan
O'Loughlin Gaels manager Brian Hogan has argued any notion that they have not been tested in the club championship is 'nonsense'.
"It was thrown at us last year when we won matches by larger margins that we weren't tested which is nonsense, you're always tested in Kilkenny," Hogan told CRKC Sport.
"It's not going to be fluid (after the first match), there's going to be loads of mistakes," he continued, adding, "it's a platform to build from. You kind of don't really know where you're at until you have that first competitive game."

The O'Loughlin Gaels boss has had to be patient in the club off season, with a number of his players unavailable due to their involvement in the Kilkenny fold or away on their travels.
"This is the first time we've had the full together so and even now we've gotten a couple of injuries as well, so it does take a bit of time for the lads I suppose to reintegrate into the group," he added.
O'Loughlin Gaels face Lisdowney in the second round of the St Canice's Credit Union SHL on Sunday evening at 6pm in Canon Kearns Park.
