Hugely successful ex-Kilkenny hurler ties the knot with gorgeous fiancée

Four-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny, Colin Fennelly and his fiancée, Aliyah McCarthy, had the day of their lives last week, as they said the all important words 'I do' to one another at a special wedding ceremony attended by many friends and family.

Fennelly made his inter-county in 2011 and is classed as one of the county's most decorated players, not only with Kilkenny but with his native Shamrocks Ballyhale where club and All-Ireland titles are in no short supply in the small local village. Not bad going when they're hurling gods such as Liam, Ger, Kevin and Michael (Fennelly) all in the family.

Colin and Aliyah's wedding ceremony took place at the Tinakilly Country House and Estate in County Wicklow, and offered a number of the current Shamrocks team as well as players from other clubs an opportunity to unwind before the hurling league/championship really hots up in Kilkenny.

Amongst those in attendance were former Kilkenny forward Walter Walsh and Shamrocks Ballyhale sharp-shooters TJ Reid and Eoin Cody.
