Kilkenny handball is on cloud nine this week as local player Anthony Clifford (Talbots Inch) won his his fourth All-Ireland Minor Singles title by beating Sligo in two straight games 21-4 21-3 in Mullingar on Sunday.
Clifford now joins an illustrious group of players who have won all four Minor titles in both the 40x20 and 60x30 codes and is the 10th Kilkenny player to win the 60x30 Singles All Ireland crown.

The Dicksboro and Kilkenny underage hurler is no stranger to success in the sister sport of handball having won the 40x20 Doubles in 2024, 40x20 Singles in May of this year and won the 60x30 Doubles just a month ago, with the 60x30 singles title last weekend the cherry on top for the local champion.
