PICTURES: Kilkenny clubs have mixed fortunes in entertaining Leinster Finals

Danesfort were crowned AIB Leinster Intermediate Hurling champions for the first time in their history on Sunday, turning around a six point deficit at half-time to beat Ratoath (Meath) 2-15 to 0-12.

The win was particularly special for club stalwart and four-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny Paul Murphy, who lifted aloft the trophy named in honour of his late dad Tommy, who previously served as Chairperson of the Kilkenny County Board. - READ MORE HERE

Meanwhile, the Shamrocks' quest to win a 13th Leinster senior hurling crown fell in the dying moment's of their Saturday evening final clash with St Martin's after a 63rd minute Ben Stafford strike gave the Wexford club the spoils on 0-24 to 2-17 scoreline.

With Jack O'Connor and Rory O'Connor sharing 17 points in total between them over the course of the 60 plus minutes, St Martin's were probably deserving first time champions though the Shamrocks pushed them to the limit. - READ MORE HERE
