CBC Kilkenny and Colaiste Mhuire Mullinagar served up a thrilling Leinster PPS A Semi-Final in a wet SETU Carlow on Wednesday where the Kilkenny outfit had to withstand a late fightback to book a spot in the provincial final.
The winners will play either St Kieran's College or Good Counsel in the decider. Their semi-final was postponed due to an unplayable pitch in the Ferns with no re-fixture confirmed as of yet.
After a competitive first half which the CBC shaded (1-7 to 0-9) through a Cian Byrne goal after just 30 seconds, the second period delivered a goals frenzy leaving supporters glued to the action.

A brace of goals from Joe Dowling as well as a second green flag from Cian Byrne and Adam Maher appeared to put the winners out of sight by the 44th minute (4-11 to 0-11).
However, a brave Colaiste Mhuire Mullinagar had other ideas and hit back with a hat-trick of goals (Cian Loughlin x2 and Finn Higgins) to narrow the CBC advantage to six points with eight minutes to play (5-11 to 3-11).
But despite the scare, last year's beaten finalists weathered the storm to advance to the next round.
