Two first-time TDs for the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency hit the ground running in their new jobs, in the last week.

Sinn Féin’s Natasha Newsome Drennan and Fianna Fáil’s Peter ‘Chap’Cleere’ are both already settling in to their new roles in Dáil Eireann.


Deputy Newsome Drennan signed the register in the Oireachtas, officially taking her seat as TD for Carlow-Kilkenny on Wednesday, December 4.

Also signing the Dáil register was Deputy Cleere. As well as setting up his Dáil office, the new TD has been busy working to fill his seat on the county council in Kilkenny, and setting up his constituency office in Kilkenny, which will be run by experienced former Fianna Fáil councillor Matt Doran.
