XTREME BEAUTY - winner of the overall Best Beauty Salon
Corrie's Maria and a host of famous Irish faces judged the Hair, Beauty & Style Awards held recently in Hotel Kilkenny. There was stiff competition with over 50 categories competing for the industry awards across Kilkenny and Carlow. The annual awards were created by celebrity agent and event manager, Brian Cunningham.

Congratulations to Kilkenny's Xtreme Beauty, based in Ballyragget, who took home the overall award for best beauty salon and Crown Hair and Beauty who won the overall hair salon on the night.
The Owner Manager of Xtreme Beauty, Niamh Costello said, "We were so thrilled to be shortlisted for the awards. To be up against the best in business and win is something we are very proud of. We have mainly built our business on word of mouth, so to have won this award really means the world to us."

CROWN HAIR AND BEAUTY - the overall winner of the Best Hair Salon
Crown Hair and Beauty on Ormonde Street scooped the overall prize for Best Hair Salon as well as a host of other awards, including Elaine Holden winning Best Stylist, Sarah Kiely winning Best Newcomer, and Sarah Dreeling winning both Best Makeup Artist and Best Brow Artist.
Crown Salon only opened its doors four years ago, and this is the first awards that they have entered, resulting in cleaning up on the night. Owner Catherine Healy was thrilled for her team and said, "to have been shortlisted was just amazing, but to have won overall was truly an honour."
Crown Salon Manager and winner of Best Stylist Elaine Holden added "we are absolutely over the moon to win so many awards and couldn't be prouder of our team. It's such a special moment for the salon and we couldn't do it without the support of our clientele. This is just the beginning for us."
The gala event was hosted by MC Brendan Courtney, who made it an unforgettable night. It also featured Corrie's Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria. She was joined by Glenda Gilson and MUA Derrick Carberry to decide on the big Kilkenny and Carlow winners.
