Relay for Life committee to host information evening in Kilkenny

Relay for Life Kilkenny will be hosting an information evening on Friday, April 14 at 8pm in the Village Inn.

The meeting is designed to answer all and any questions that people may have about the event. It will be an opportunity to meet the committee members, other teams and supporters of the event.

There will be information shared about how to register a team, fundraising ideas and more. Light refreshments will be served.

Relay for Life is a 24 hour fundraising event on behalf of the Irish Cancer Society. Team based, the concept is that for 24 hours at least one member of each team walks the track. In the lead up to Relay, the teams look for sponsorship and host events to fundraise.

Throughout the day there is a stage where local artists and bands entertain, with homemade crafts and treats for sale from the tents around the track.

This year’s Relay for Life takes place in Kilkenny Rugby Club on July 1 and 2.
