Kilkenny motorcyclist enthusiasts get road safety advice from gardaí

The nationwide initiative took place at three locations, including Kilkenny on Saturday

Gardaí in Kilkenny shared advanced police motorcycle riding skills to encourage Irish motorcyclists to recognise the value of investing in post-test motorcycle training.

Inspector Paul Donohoe gave a presentation all about road safety, road craft and tips on what gardaí use everyday to keep them safe. Then each participant got an opportunity to go for a ride out with advanced motorcyclists on the road for two hours to be assessed and taught some valuable skills.

This road safety initiative gives motorcyclists access to motorcycle skills eLearning.

Participants also learned how the skilled application of motorcycle roadcraft is crucial to being a safer and more skilled motorcyclist.

The nationwide initiative, took place in Kilkenny in Cilin Hill on Saturday with two hours of classroom followed by a ride out accompanied by advanced motorcyclists.
